Nogueira has chosen Apaga mais não bate as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Chichen scores a takedown into full mount!
Chichen takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Chichen lands a heavy elbow.

It looks like Anderson Nogueira has been cut.
Nogueira is trying to escape the mount.

Chichen looking for a guillotine from mount but Nogueira is having none of it.

Chichen is trying to stick to Nogueira's back but Nogueira is turning into Chichen. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Chichen's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Nogueira.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Chichen wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Nogueira wants to pass the guard but Chichen is keeping the position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Nogueira shoots in looking for a takedown. Chichen tries to sprawl out of it but Nogueira keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Chichen manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Nogueira shoots in for a takedown but Chichen shows good takedown defense.
Kung Pao Chichen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Nogueira takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
