Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, John Goldberg!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jack Pool!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Anthony Taglia and Lou da Vinci.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Goldberg throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Goldberg scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Pool stops Goldberg from passing to mount.
Pool is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Pool is concentrating on defense, preventing Goldberg from advancing position.
Pool is looking for a sweep. Goldberg is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Goldberg is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Goldberg winds up and cracks Pool with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Pool is pressing down on Goldberg's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Goldberg distracts Pool with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Goldberg trying to control the position from guard on top but Pool is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Pool wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Pool has his foot on Goldberg's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Goldberg works his way back into a safe position though.
Pool is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Pool is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Goldberg throws an elbow that misses. Pool uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Goldberg's guard. Nice move by Pool!

Pool stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Goldberg swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Goldberg had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Pool defends it easily.
Pool trying to control the position from guard on top but Goldberg is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Goldberg is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Goldberg is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Pool defends it well.
Pool has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Goldberg thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Pool gets back to full guard.
Pool is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Goldberg chips away with some ground and pound.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Goldberg in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Pool is trying to control the position but Goldberg postures up.
Pool looking to hit a scissor sweep but Goldberg is one step ahead there.
Goldberg landing some decent shots from guard.
Goldberg throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Pool works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Pool is rocked!
Goldberg arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Pool's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). John Goldberg!
John Goldberg seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
