Penn comes to the cage accompanied by Bruddah Iz - E Ala E. Ferreira has chosen Til I Colapse as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Daniel Cesar and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Penn lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Ferreira closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Penn looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Ferreira thows a huge punch but Penn dodges it nicely.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Penn throws a series of punches but Ferreira avoids them all with ease.

so Ferreira counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Ferreira is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Ferreira is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Penn throws some wild stikes that Ferreira manages to avoid easily.
Ferreira is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Ferreira tries to reverse the position but Penn maintains control.
Penn is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Ferreira can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Ferreira wants to control but Penn is having none of it.
Penn is working for a guillotine from mount but Ferreira frees his head quite easily.
Penn throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
