Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Poor Pal (ranked 3723 p4p, 447 weight class) and Zhorik Fartanov (ranked 2952 p4p, 372 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Zhorik Fartanov!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Micheangelo Fripello and Ryoma Takatsuka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fartanov takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Fartanov is defended easily by Pal.
Fartanov on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Pal moves into range and clinches up with Fartanov.
Pal pushes Fartanov back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Fartanov managing to block the knees to the body from Pal.
Pal tries to land knees in the clinch but Fartanov avoids the damage to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fartanov tries for a takedown but Pal manages to get underhooks.
Fartanov tries to pull guard but Pal won't allow it.
Poor Pal has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Zhorik Fartanov.

Fartanov jumps guard but Pal stands there with Fartanov around his waist. Fartanov gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Pal tries to throw a body punch but Fartanov avoids it by throwing Pal back against the cage.

Pal pushes Fartanov back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Fartanov fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Pal effectively controlling the action here.
A nice right hand lands inside from Pal.
Pal scores a nice knee to the body.

Pal breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Poor Pal is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Fartanov fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Pal catches Fartanov with a right, a left, a right. It's raining punches and Fartanov forgot an umbrella! Another punch and he's down. This one is over!
