Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Allu takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Koniu throws a front kick aimed at Allu's knee but Allu avoids it well.
Allu is looking to counter the offense by Koniu and move into the clinch.
Koniu tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Koniu throws a push kick but Allu slaps the foot to one side.
Koniu keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Allu.
A head kick misses from Koniu.
Koniu tries to close the distance and clinch but Allu swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Japa Koniu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Koniu scores with a kick to the midsection.
Allu has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Koniu tries to clinch but Allu moves out of range.
Allu appears to be looking for a big counter.
Koniu walks into a straight right hand from Allu.

It looks like Japa Koniu has been cut.
Crunch! Allu slams his shin into Koniu's torso.
Allu throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Koniu on the side of the head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Koniu closes the distance but Allu moves to the side

and Allu counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Allu lands a couple of digs.

Koniu is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Allu is controlling him.

Allu keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Koniu's head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Koniu can't keep his opponent in guard - Allu advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Allu connects with a nice short shot to Koniu's temple.
Koniu looks like he's trying to stand up.
Koniu is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Allu scores with a couple of nice shots.
Allu takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Koniu pushes Allu off and gets back to his feet.
A swing and a miss from Koniu.
A little feinted left hand from Allu on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Koniu lands an overhand right.
Koniu throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Koniu lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

and Allu counters with a nice double leg into side control. Koniu won't be happy with that.
Koniu is not in a great position here, taking some shots.

That has opened up Japa Koniu's cut even more.
Koniu is looking to get back to his feet here but Allu is keeping cool and he's managed to take Koniu's back.
Allu gets his hooks in and is throwing strikes.

Japa Koniu's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Japa Koniu's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
