Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Royce Peyton (ranked 4817 p4p, 361 weight class) and Rock Yak (ranked 24981 p4p, 463 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Royce Peyton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Rock Yak!
The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Peter Branson and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peyton feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Yak is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Peyton wants to stand and escape but instead Yak has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Yak accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

We've been informed that Yak has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

Yak works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Peyton knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Yak on the ground.
Yak decides to stand back up. Yak steps back and let's Peyton get back to his feet.
Peyton fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Yak to the ground. Peyton is now in Yak's guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rock Yak dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Peyton tries to close the distance and clinch up but Yak swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Despite the aggression on Yak's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Royce Peyton seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Yak is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Peyton has Yak up against the cage in a clinch.
Peyton has Yak pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Peyton pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Yak tumbling to the mat - Peyton dives into Yak's guard.

Peyton is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Yak drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Yak as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Peyton screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Yak! Nice submission victory there!
