Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Ralph Deleon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Colin McGrandles!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, William Gold and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McGrandles misses with a low kick.
McGrandles punishes Deleon's body with a nice straight punch.
McGrandles lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Deleon circles away quickly and effectively.
Deleon went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
McGrandles changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Deleon really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Deleon throws a lazy right hand but McGrandles sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
A low kick from McGrandles misses
and Deleon counters with a one-two to the body.
McGrandles misses with a double jab.
McGrandles has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Deleon moves into the clinch.
Deleon doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Deleon misses with some punches.
Deleon manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Deleon throws an elbow that misses.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Deleon scores with a shoulder strike.
McGrandles tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Deleon smiles and moves away.
McGrandles tries to land a front kick but Deleon steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Deleon was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
A punch combination from McGrandles misses.
A combination from McGrandles does no damage.
Deleon takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Deleon enables McGrandles to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Deleon manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

McGrandles gets to his feet - Deleon follows without any prompting.
McGrandles fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Deleon went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
McGrandles throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
McGrandles takes a swing at Deleon's ribcage but misses.
Deleon scores with a jab. McGrandles acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
McGrandles closes the distance and clinches up with Deleon, looking for a takedown. McGrandles pushes Deleon against the cage but Deleon circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Ralph Deleon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Colin McGrandles.
A combination from Deleon does no damage.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

McGrandles bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Deleon throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!
McGrandles fails to land the takedown.
McGrandles looks winded!
A head kick misses from McGrandles.
Deleon attempts a counter takedown but McGrandles avoids it well and moves away.
A shot to the liver by McGrandles. Beautiful body shot.
McGrandles connects with a crisp jab.
McGrandles dodges the punch combination from Deleon.
McGrandles shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Deleon is looking for a counter combo.
Colin McGrandles seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McGrandles tries to bum rush Deleon with a series of wild strikes but Deleon uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
McGrandles lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Deleon circles away quickly and effectively.

Deleon moves into the clinch successfully.
Deleon effectively controlling the action here.

McGrandles avoiding damage as Deleon throws knees to the body.
Deleon scores with a shoulder strike.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.

McGrandles breaks the clinch.
McGrandles fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Deleon manages to avoid it.
It looked like Deleon wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
A bone on bone clash there as Deleon blocks the leg kick.

Deleon closes the distance and pushes McGrandles back into the cage.
McGrandles is trying to break the clinch but Deleon is controlling him.
Deleon pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
McGrandles blocks a punch to the side of the head.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A bit of stalling here from Deleon.
With the fighters up against the cage, Deleon throws an elbow but misses.
McGrandles wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
A head punch on the inside from Deleon fails to land.
Deleon is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
A head punch blocked on the inside by McGrandles.

McGrandles escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
McGrandles misses with a double jab.
Deleon checks a leg kick.
A telegraphed right hand from McGrandles misses the target.
Deleon is looking to clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Ralph Deleon will probably get the nod.
That's time! Back to the action!


McGrandles tries a head kick but it misses.
McGrandles falls off balance throwing a combination
enabling Deleon to counter with a crisp jab.
Deleon tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
McGrandles avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Deleon avoids a kick to the body.
Deleon feints a jab promting McGrandles to slip. Deleon then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. McGrandles slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
McGrandles lands a jab to the nose.
McGrandles swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
McGrandles lands a big head kick that sends Deleon to the canvas! McGrandles follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:48 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Colin McGrandles!
