The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rodoberto fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Machida decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Rodoberto wants to improve his position but Machida is controlling well.

Rodoberto really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Machida. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Machida has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Rodoberto's face.

That's time! Machida's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Machida shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Rodoberto tries to close the distance and clinch but Machida swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

and Rodoberto counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Rodoberto.
Ginchin Machida overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Rodoberto stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Machida swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Machida will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Machida has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Rodoberto can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Machida utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Rodoberto wants to stand and escape but instead Machida has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Rodoberto is looking to stand up but Machida isn't so interested in that idea.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

I would just about give that final round to Marciano Rodoberto.
