Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Boris Orlov (ranked 2010 p4p, 213 weight class) and Ricky Monroe (ranked 2236 p4p, 237 weight class). Orlov comes to the cage accompanied by K.A.B.O.S.H. - God Of War. Monroe has chosen Deep Ocean - Island drumming as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
An inside leg kick from Orlov misses.
Monroe is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Monroe throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Orlov circles away from the clinch attempt.
Monroe takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Orlov fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Monroe has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Orlov tries a low kick but Monroe avoids it.
Nice body punch from Monroe.
A nice leg kick lands there from Orlov.
Monroe misses with a body shot
letting Orlov counter with a right hand.
Orlov throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Orlov bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Monroe throws a series of punches but Orlov avoids them all with ease.
Monroe throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Orlov sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Ricky Monroe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Monroe checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Monroe lunges at Orlov with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Orlov's hand.

Orlov loads up on a big right hand but Monroe slips the punch.
Orlov moves out of range of the strikes.
A little feinted left hand from Orlov on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Monroe misses with a straight right.
Monroe connects with a nice looking jab.

and Monroe counters with a shoot takedown. Orlov fights it but they end up in guard.
Orlov wriggles free and stands up.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Monroe pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Monroe cracks a nice hook into Orlov's ribs.
Orlov moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Monroe just misses with a punch to the body.
Orlov slips under a jab.
Monroe shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Orlov pinned against the cage. Orlov gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Orlov throws a sloppy body shot
letting Monroe counter with a right hand.
Monroe drops his hands momentarily and Orlov takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
A swing and a miss from Monroe.
Nice defenses there by Monroe.
Monroe throws the left hand but Orlov avoids the punch easily.
No joy there for Orlov, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Orlov takes a body punch but keeps moving.

Monroe moves out of range of the strikes.
Monroe moves forwards but Orlov connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Boris Orlov is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Orlov throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Orlov keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Boris Orlov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ricky Monroe.
Danga de danga de dang - Orlov scores with a four punch combination!
Monroe misses with a hook. Orlov ducked under it nicely.
Orlov throwing a counter right hand but Monroe manages to avoid it.
Orlov lands a left and a right that send Monroe crashing to the mat, dazed. Orlov thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Monroe is rocked!
It looks like Ricky Monroe has been cut.
Orlov connects with a leg kick. Monroe looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Monroe is still on wobbly legs! Can Orlov finish him?
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Orlov connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Monroe momentarily.
Orlov throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Monroe stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Monroe throws a lazy uppercut
and Orlov counters with a crisp right that sends Monroe to the canvas! Orlov follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Boris Orlov!
