PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Victor Knapp (ranked 7186 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ishaar Abbassi (ranked 5676 p4p, 0 weight class). Abbassi is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Gangster Rap Made Me Do It. The key to victory for Victor Knapp has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Victor Knapp!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ishaar Abbassi!
The judges for this bout are Darius Henderson, Winston Howard and Steve Erwin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Knapp wants to clinch but Abbassi slips to the side

and Abbassi counters with a takedown into side control.
Abbassi looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Abbassi is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Knapp is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Victor Knapp.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Knapp, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
