Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jonathan Rain (ranked 6448 p4p, 442 weight class) and Bearclaw Brennan (ranked 7181 p4p, 471 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Valeri Chadov and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brennan is looking to clinch.
Rain scores with the left hand. Brennan knows he should have avoided that one.
Brennan throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Rain's waist but Rain gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Brennan off to one side.
Brennan connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Rain momentarily.
Rain lands a jab.
Brennan fails with a takedown attempt.
Rain throwing a counter right hand but Brennan manages to avoid it.
Brennan attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
It looked like Rain wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Rain uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Brennan.
Rain keeps the fight on the outside.
An attempted straight right counter from Rain misses the target.
Rain stuffs the takedown attempt from Brennan. Brennan gets slowly back to his feet.
Jonathan Rain has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bearclaw Brennan.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Brennan misses with a kick to the body.
A right-left combo lands from Brennan.
Rain's corner calls for a 1-2. Rain obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Rain steps in with a hook that catches Brennan right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Rain follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Brennan looks absolutely devastated.
