Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Phil Phenoix!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jose Alberto Quinonez!
The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Quinonez tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in to close the distance. Phenoix manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Quinonez shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Phenoix as he avoids it easily.
Phenoix avoids a punch combination nicely.
Phenoix throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Quinonez.
Phenoix dives in and scores a takedown into Quinonez's guard.
Phenoix trying to control the position from guard on top but Quinonez is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Phenoix wants to control from the top but Quinonez keeps moving.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Quinonez wants to clinch.
Quinonez closes the distance but Phenoix moves to the side
and Phenoix counters with a left and a right that stings Quinonez.
Quinonez checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Quinonez connects with a jab, followed by a picture perfect straight right that sends Phenoix to the canvas, out cold! What a finish by Quinonez!
