Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hayden Beck!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Purple Karaage!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Shigeki Fujiwara and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beck misses with a body punch
and Karaage counters with a nice leg kick.
Beck shoots for a double leg takedown but Karaage sprawls well. He's pushed Beck's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Karaage looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Beck trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
Karaage trying to stand up but can't free himself from Beck's guard.
Karaage gets to his feet - Beck follows without any prompting.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Karaage has Beck up against the cage in a clinch.
Beck has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Karaage avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Beck tries to score a body lock takedown but Karaage shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hayden Beck. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Beck breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Karaage scores with a head kick. Beck tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
It looks like Hayden Beck has been cut.
Beck throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

and Karaage counters with a series of strikes that really hurt Beck! The ref looks into his eyes and sees nobody home - he's called the fight! This one is all over!
