Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Bartek Nowak!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Duke Bravo!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Peter Branson and Winston Alpacca.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bravo moves into range and clinches up with Nowak.

Bravo manages to break the clinch.
Nowak tries to close the distance and clinch but Bravo swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Nowak misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Bravo is looking for the big counter here.

Nowak moves into the clinch successfully.

Bravo breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Bravo scores with a takedown into Nowak's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Bravo trying to control but Nowak is working from the bottom.
Nowak is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nowak wants to control the position but Bravo says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
Bravo prevents Nowak from improving his position.

Bravo wants to pass the guard but Nowak is defending well.
Bravo is trying to control. Nowak wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Bravo winds up and cracks Nowak with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Bravo prevents Nowak from improving his position.
Bravo tries to stand but his arm is trapped.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Nowak is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Bravo looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Nowak is staying active underneath Bravo, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Bravo is looking to stall here but Nowak recovers full guard.
Bravo throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Bravo is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Nowak closes the distance and pushes Bravo back into the cage.

Bravo pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Bravo displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Nowak.

Bravo closes the distance and clinches.
Bravo scores with a knee to the head.
Bravo prevents the takedown attempt.

Bravo ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Bravo no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Bravo is adopting a defensive guard.
Nowak could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Nowak not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Nowak trying to control the position from guard on top but Bravo is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Bravo is controlling Nowak's posture.
Bravo keeping moving, preventing Nowak from controlling successfully.
Nowak works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Nowak throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Nowak performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Duke Bravo dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Nowak shoots in for a takedown but Bravo shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Bravo misses with the combination.

Nowak gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Bravo to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Bravo prevents Nowak from getting back to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bravo working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Nowak throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Bravo has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Bravo postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Bravo distracts Nowak with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Bravo trying to control the position from guard on top but Nowak is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Nowak is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Bravo throws a big elbow that misses.
Bravo throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Nowak works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Bravo tries to free his leg and advance position but Nowak is retaining full guard.
Duke Bravo has got the better of the ground game so far.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Bravo wants to control from the top but Nowak keeps moving.
Bravo wants to pass the guard but Nowak is keeping the position.
Bravo scoring with some ground and pound.
Bravo stands and throws Nowak's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Nowak is trying to control Bravo's posture but Bravo avoids it.
Bravo tries to advance to mount but can't.
Bravo working away.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Nowak regains half guard.
Bravo is looking to stall here but Nowak recovers full guard.
Bravo sitting in guard here, content to control.
Nowak is trying to control the position from the bottom.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Bravo scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Nowak takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Bravo controlling from side mount.
Bravo is looking to take a break and control but Nowak is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Bravo wants to take a breather but Nowak manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Bravo.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Nowak is trying to control the position but Bravo postures up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Duke Bravo showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!



Bravo closes the distance and clinches.

Bravo breaks from the clinch.
Bravo leaves Nowak with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Bravo drops Nowak with a beautiful combination! Nowak stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Bravo is looking for the KO!


Nowak is rocked!


It looks like Bartek Nowak has been cut.

Bravo shoots in for a takedown. SLAM! Brutal! Nowak is out cold and this one is all over!
