The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gorgrip lunges at Loggia with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Loggia's hand.
Gorgrip throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Loggia.
Gorgrip ducks under a wild hook from Loggia.
Gorgrip tries to score a power double leg takedown but Loggia sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Gorgrip somewhat.
Gorgrip ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Loggia moves away.
Gorgrip tries to close the distance and clinch but Loggia swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Antonino Loggia seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gorgrip goes for a double leg but Loggia avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Loggia continues to drive forward.
Gorgrip throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Loggia swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
