The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tregubs dives in for a single leg takedown but Menezes sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Menezes breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Tregubs shoots in looking for a takedown. Menezes tries to sprawl out of it but Tregubs keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Menezes manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Eriks Tregubs. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Tregubs tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Menezes swivels and escapes.
Menezes stuffs the takedown.
Tregubs darts in looking for a takedown but Menezes gets double underhooks and turns Tregubs into the cage.
Tregubs is breathing heavily.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Tregubs is trying to drag Menezes to the mat but Menezes just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Menezes unloads a knee to the mid-section. Tregubs lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Tregubs really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Menezes pushes Tregubs back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Menezes lands an elbow just above Tregubs 's eye.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Menezes pushes Tregubs against the cage. Menezes is working some dirty boxing. Menezes pushes off with a quick right hook! Tregubs goes down! Tregubs tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Menezes moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!
