PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hiroshima Nagasaki (ranked 4058 p4p, 462 weight class) and Meteor Blackhole (ranked 7174 p4p, 579 weight class). Nagasaki comes to the cage accompanied by Ground Zero (MOP). Meteor Blackhole is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Hiroshima Nagasaki!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Meteor Blackhole!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Elvis Blanc and Trevor Gratis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nagasaki tries to close the distance and clinch up but Blackhole swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Nagasaki misses with a straight left.
Blackhole thinks about the counter body kick.
Nagasaki scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Nagasaki scores with a nice right hand.
Nagasaki tests Blackhole's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Blackhole takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Nagasaki lands with a cross.
A punch combination from Nagasaki misses.
An inside leg kick lands from Nagasaki.
Nagasaki lands with a kick to the ribs.
Nagasaki scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Blackhole doesn't seem bothered though.

A nice leg kick lands there from Nagasaki.
Nagasaki seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Nagasaki tries a head kick but it misses.
Blackhole only half commits to the counter leg kick.
Blackhole walks into a left hand.
Nagasaki misses with a series of wild punches.
Blackhole is trying to counter with his kicks.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Blackhole has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Nagasaki connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Nagasaki goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Blackhole feints the counter takedown.

Nagasaki fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Blackhole, pushing him back against the cage.
Blackhole is looking for a takedown.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Blackhole.
Blackhole has Nagasaki pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Nagasaki manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Nagasaki breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Nagasaki lands a monster head kick that reverborates around the arena! The crowd goes wild as Blackhole crumples to the floor! Nagasaki milks the crowd's applause and if that isn't knockout of the night, I will be very surprised!
