PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Wii Playstation (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adam McLeroy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McLeroy has chosen Can't be touched as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McLeroy swats away the attempt to clinch by Playstation.
Playstation tries to clinch there but McLeroy circles away.
A head kick misses from Playstation.
Playstation feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to McLeroy's calf.
Playstation throws a leg kick which misses McLeroy's front leg but catches the back leg as McLeroy tries to avoid it.

Playstation thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on McLeroy if he has to take too many more of those.

It looks like Adam McLeroy has been cut.

Playstation has hold of one of McLeroy's legs. McLeroy is fighting the takedown attempt but Playstation gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

McLeroy can't keep his opponent in guard - Playstation advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Playstation is trying to work for a single leg takedown but McLeroy pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Playstation gets control of McLeroy's arms and successfully pulls guard. Playstation will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Playstation has momentary wrist control but McLeroy slips an elbow through the middle.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Playstation working for a triangle but McLeroy defends it easily.

Playstation isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. McLeroy stacks Playstation on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by McLeroy!
Playstation might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

McLeroy is looking to break free of the clinch but Playstation has double underhooks.
Playstation is pressed up against the cage. McLeroy has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Playstation down to the mat. Playstation avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

McLeroy wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Playstation has him pressed against the cage.

Playstation throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

McLeroy drives through and clinches with Playstation against the cage.

Playstation is trying to drag McLeroy to the mat but McLeroy just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Wii Playstation. That's going to take a lot out of him.

McLeroy has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Playstation is trying to keep an underhook but McLeroy manages to get the takedown into half guard.

Playstation goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

Playstation drives through and clinches with McLeroy against the cage.
Playstation throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but McLeroy blocks it with crossed arms.
Playstation has McLeroy pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. McLeroy manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Playstation tries to pull guard but McLeroy holds him up against the cage and eventually Playstation drops back down to his feet.

Playstation is fighting off a takedown attempt but McLeroy is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Playstation to the mat. Playstation regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Playstation throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.

Playstation escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. McLeroy gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Playstation looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! McLeroy has picked Playstation up and slammed him! Playstation can't keep hold of the triangle and McLeroy manages to pass to side control!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Playstation is looking to reverse the position.
Playstation regains half guard.
Playstation has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. McLeroy is working away from the top position though.
Playstation is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

McLeroy clinches up against the cage.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
McLeroy stops a takedown attempt from Playstation.

McLeroy pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

and McLeroy counters with a series of strikes. Playstation will be more careful next time no doubt.

McLeroy gets to his feet - Playstation follows without any prompting.

Playstation clinches up against the cage.
Playstation has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. McLeroy avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Playstation ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Playstation no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
McLeroy can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Playstation is looking to escape.

Playstation tries to reverse the position but McLeroy maintains control.
Playstation bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Adam McLeroy comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think McLeroy has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
