The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Habab shoots in looking for a takedown but Smoke manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Habab's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Smoke keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Habab closes this distance looking for a takedown but Smoke circles away.
Smoke looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

Habab goes for a double leg but Smoke avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Smoke continues to drive forward.
Handy Habab seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Smoke really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Habab. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
