The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McCarthy looks for a takedown but Lee sprawls well.
A left and a right from Lee both land. Nice combination.
Lee throws a series of strikes that have McCarthy backpedaling.

It looks like Aiden McCarthy has been cut.

McCarthy gets a clinch.
McCarthy can't get the takedown.

McCarthy pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
McCarthy looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Aiden McCarthy. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Lee fails to land with a series of punches.

McCarthy closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Lee's guard.
McCarthy really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
McCarthy not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

McCarthy stays in close to Lee's body and controls the position.
McCarthy has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
This is a sustained period of stalling by McCarthy.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

McCarthy has a takedown stuffed.
McCarthy sets himself, and Lee steps forward looking for the clinch! McCarthy avoids it this time.
Lee throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and McCarthy counters with a series of strikes. Lee will be more careful next time no doubt.
Lee looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
McCarthy shoots in and drives through. Lee sprawls well.
McCarthy shoots in for a takedown but Lee shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
McCarthy is breathing heavily.
Lee pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces McCarthy back to the cage. Lee follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Lee throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by McCarthy.

McCarthy misses with the body kick
and Lee counters with a three punch combo that has McCarthy backing up. McCarthy nods at Lee to acknowledge the strikes.
Lee leaves McCarthy with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
McCarthy takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Lee throws a nice head kick!
A nice leg kick lands there from Lee.
Nice straight punches there by Lee. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Lee.

McCarthy is rocked!
Lee throws a left jab followed by a right to the body, Oh McCarthy colapses and takes a barrage of punches from Lee as he moves to mount! the ref stops the fight and McCarthy is left battered and dazed whilst Lee and his camp cheer!
