PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Adrian Arellano (ranked 5797 p4p, 248 weight class) and Petr Kotrc (ranked 2718 p4p, 148 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Arellano misses with a telegraphed body shot

and Kotrc counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Kotrc.
Kotrc postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Arellano is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Kotrc is controlling him.

Kotrc decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Arellano, up you get!
Horrible takedown attempt by Kotrc or perhaps it was just good defense by Arellano, which made it look bad.

Kotrc is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Kotrc has hold of Arellano's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Arellano manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Kotrc postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Arellano badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Kotrc around the waist but Kotrc pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Kotrc is the winner by TKO! Kotrc jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"
