The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davidson tries to close the distance and clinch but Stewert swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Davidson ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Stewert moves away.
Horrible takedown by Davidson or perhaps it was just good defense by Stewert which made him look bad.
Davidson wants to clinch up but Stewert keeps it at a distance.

Stewert darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Stewert is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Still in half guard, Stewert seems content to control.
Stewert wants to free his trapped foot but Davidson is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Stewert content to control rather than advance.
Davidson is looking to control Stewert's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Davidson avoid being mounted?
Davidson is in trouble now - Stewert has advanced to mount!

Stewert is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Davidson is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Davidson flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Stewert anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Davidson and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Stewert slips an arm under Davidson chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Stewert has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Stewert is squeezing on Davidson like an anaconda would it's prey. Davidson fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
