The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ayoub displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Villalobos.
Villalobos fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Ayoub avoids it really well and circles away.
Villalobos on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Villalobos shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Ayoub defends it nicely.
Waleed Ayoub has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Andres Leon Villalobos.
Ayoub throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Ayoub looks for a left high kick but can't connect. Ayoub backs up to catch a breather... no he lunges forward with a huge flying knee that smacks Villalobos's temple! It sends Villalobos violently to the canvas! The crowd goes nuts as Ayoub celebrates and the doctors try to help Villalobos!
