Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between mike rasta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and drake kano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). drake kano has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
kano fails to land the takedown.
rasta gets in close and instigates a clinch.
kano's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
rasta fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
rasta lands with a slapping head kick.
kano will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
kano misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
rasta feints and as kano raises his hands in defense, rasta changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

rasta has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

kano tries to buck rasta off but rasta is having none of it.
rasta creates some space and throws a big elbow, but kano sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

kano has managed to clinch.

rasta changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. kano looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

kano is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, rasta asserts his dominance and retains side control.
rasta has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

drake kano seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

rasta throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around kano's waist but kano gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing rasta off to one side.

kano throws a nice looking combination but rasta bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
kano closes the distance and pushes rasta back into the cage.
kano breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
kano looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

rasta stands and steps away. kano gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

kano wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but rasta has him pressed against the cage.
kano escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
kano gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
kano wants to clinch
and rasta counters with a left to the body.
kano misses with a few strikes there.
mike rasta is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
kano lands a left and a right that sends rasta crashing to the canvas! kano dives into mount looking to finish!
It looks like mike rasta has been cut.
rasta tries to hold on but kano pushes him away.

kano shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has rasta pinned against the cage. rasta gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
kano shoots in and drives through. rasta sprawls well.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

A kick lands to the mid section there for rasta.
kano shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with rasta but rasta pushes him off and we're back to square one.
mike rasta has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of drake kano.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for rasta, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
