Huber's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Boom Boom Pow. Jens Pulver has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Gavin Huber's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Gavin Huber!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jens Pulver!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Konstantin Menshow and Vladimir Khabensky.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Huber misses with a jab, cross combination.

Huber feints and as Pulver raises his hands in defense, Huber changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

The is referee keeping an eye on Pulver - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Pulver wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Huber has Pulver pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Pulver manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Huber escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Pulver gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Huber has his foot on Pulver's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Pulver works his way back into a safe position though.

Huber had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Pulver is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Huber Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Pulver's back instead.

That was a close second round but I would say that Gavin Huber will probably get the nod.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Gavin Huber.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Huber, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
