Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Cleyton Da Silva (ranked 3746 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeronimo Barcelos (ranked 6736 p4p, 0 weight class). Barcelos has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Jeronimo Barcelos enters the cage!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Da Silva misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Barcelos.
Da Silva shoots for a double leg takedown but Barcelos sprawls well. He's pushed Da Silva's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Da Silva has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Barcelos uses from the top position.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Da Silva rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Barcelos moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Da Silva changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Barcelos looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Barcelos is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Da Silva asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Da Silva is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Barcelos will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Da Silva is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Barcelos knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Barcelos pushes Da Silva away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Da Silva gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Da Silva has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Barcelos! Can he survive? No! He's out! Da Silva gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
