Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Vasyl Durdynets!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ropho Sully!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, James Glass and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Durdynets shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Sully fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Durdynets on the side of the head.
Sully stuffs the takedown.
Sully sizes up Durdynets with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Sully cracks Durdynets with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Durdynets takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Sully lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Sully lands with a kick to the temple. Durdynets shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
A shot to the liver by Sully. Beautiful body shot.
Durdynets fails with a takedown attempt.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Sully really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Durdynets. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Durdynets's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Durdynets is looking for a kimura here.
Sully keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Durdynets throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Sully to regain full guard.
Durdynets is working Sully over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Durdynets postures up in Sully's guard and throws a big left but Sully blocks it.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Durdynets accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Durdynets looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Durdynets advances to half guard.

Durdynets is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Durdynets landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Durdynets lands with a punch from half guard.
Durdynets throwing shots but Sully is blocking nicely.
Durdynets really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Sully is staying active underneath Durdynets, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Durdynets is trying to work for a kimura but Sully is defending well.

Durdynets wants to take a breather but Sully is having none of it.
Sully is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Durdynets's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Durdynets's back!

Sully has his opponent's back but Durdynets is looking to stand. He manages to get to his feet and shakes off Sully.
Durdynets darts in looking for a takedown but Sully gets double underhooks and turns Durdynets into the cage.
Ropho Sully is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Durdynets shoots in but no luck this time.
Sully scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Durdynets wants the takedown. Sully is fighting it off but Durdynets persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Sully's guard against the cage.
Durdynets wants to control from the top but Sully keeps moving.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Durdynets throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Ropho Sully will probably get the nod.

Sully lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Durdynets circles away quickly and effectively.
Durdynets appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Nice takedown defense from Sully. No joy for Durdynets on that attempt.
Sully scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Durdynets shoots for a double leg takedown but Sully sprawls well. He's pushed Durdynets's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Sully controls Durdynets momentarily but Durdynets frees himself.
Durdynets wants to pass the guard but Sully is keeping the position.
Durdynets stops Sully from standing up.
Sully is controlling Durdynets's posture.
Durdynets wants to control from the top but Sully keeps moving.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Sully looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Durdynets is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Durdynets throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Sully's waist but Sully gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Durdynets off to one side.
Durdynets looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Sully is fending him off so far but Durdynets persists. Nope, Sully circles away and we're back to standing.
Durdynets dives in for a single leg takedown but Sully sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Durdynets chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Sully can pounce on him.
Sully lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Durdynets backs up against the cage.
Durdynets tries for a takedown but Sully sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Durdynets takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Sully cracks a nice hook into Durdynets's ribs.
Durdynets takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Sully ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Sully lands a leg kick that knocks Durdynets off balance momentarily.
Durdynets sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Durdynets takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Sully cracks the inside of Durdynets's front leg.
Sully connects with a right hand. Durdynets shakes it off.
Sully looks to land a combination. Durdynets sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Sully pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Durdynets back to the cage. Sully follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Sully misses with a double jab.
Durdynets shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Sully fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Sully dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Durdynets takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Ropho Sully seems to be getting the better of the standup.

It seemed like Sully was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Sully lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Sully.
Sully throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Durdynets drops down looking for a counter takedown but Sully sprawls and moves away.

Durdynets looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Sully!

Sully has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Durdynets shoots in looking for a takedown. Sully tries to sprawl out of it but Durdynets keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Sully manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Sully lands a really nice looking cross but Durdynets seems unphased.

Sully will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Vasyl Durdynets overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Ropho Sully comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
