The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Akimov tries a head kick but it misses.
Akimov misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Sin counters with a solid body kick.
Aleksandr Akimov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Sin gets a clinch.

Sin pulls guard.
Sin managing to control the position.

Sin has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Akimov off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Akimov closes the distance and pushes Sin back into the cage.
Sin is trying to force a seperation but Akimov has the dominant position.
Akimov wants to get back to striking at distance but Sin won't allow it.

Sin pulls Akimov into guard.
Akimov knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sin on the ground.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Sin seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Sin has his feet on Akimov's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Akimov tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Sin was well out of range. Poor timing from Akimov.

Sin gets the takedown into side control.
Akimov bucks up and tries to throw Sin off but instead Sin has got his back!

Akimov won't enjoy being in this position. Sin looking for the choke. Oh... he's slipped the arm under the neck - Akimov is tapping - it's over boys! Sin picks up the submission victory!
