Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ikki De Fenix!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Leon Quinones!
The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Santiago Holmes and Winston Alpacca.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Quinones has a takedown stuffed.
De Fenix lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
A punch combination from De Fenix misses.
Quinones ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Quinones wants to counter with a clinch but De Fenix pushes him away.
De Fenix ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
De Fenix ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Quinones moves away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Quinones shoots for a double leg takedown but De Fenix sprawls well. He's pushed Quinones's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Leon Quinones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
De Fenix listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Quinones closes the distance looking to clinch
and De Fenix counters with a straight right hand.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Quinones shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as De Fenix sprawls well. De Fenix wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Quinones gets slowly back to his feet.
Ikki De Fenix has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Leon Quinones.
Quinones closes this distance looking for a takedown but De Fenix circles away.
As Quinones looks to move away, De Fenix throws a big counter combo but Quinones just gets out of the way.
Quinones needs to keep his hands up - De Fenix had a free shot at his head there.
De Fenix lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Quinones circles away quickly and effectively.
Quinones will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Quinones drives through with a takedown into De Fenix's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
De Fenix on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if De Fenix tries to get out of the position.

Quinones passes De Fenix's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Quinones has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Island Hammers Fight Camp. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.
De Fenix is looking to escape.

Quinones maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! De Fenix could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Quinones has cracked it and De Fenix is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Quinones!
