Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Handy Habab (ranked 5492 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Qwick (ranked 21208 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Qwick drives through with a takedown into guard.
Habab on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Habab tries to get out of the position.

Habab wants to get back to his feet but Qwick is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Qwick defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Habab.
Qwick drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Habab defends it well.

Qwick changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Habab tries to avoid it but Qwick manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Habab to the ground. Habab escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Habab fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Qwick avoids it really well and circles away.

and Qwick makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Handy Habab. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Habab is nestled in close to Qwick, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Habab lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Qwick quite badly. Qwick pulls Habab in close trying to recover. Habab postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Qwick on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Qwick doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
