Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Cole Reynolds (ranked 239 p4p, 32 weight class) and Joseph OByrne (ranked 254 p4p, 34 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Joseph OByrne was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A big right from Reynolds misses.
OByrne counters with a body kick.
OByrne throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
OByrne lands a nice leg kick that just misses Reynolds's sensitive parts.
Reynolds takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.

enabling Reynolds to counter with a crisp jab.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
OByrne catches Reynolds with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

It seemed like OByrne was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

OByrne fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Reynolds is out of range.
Oh Reynolds is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
OByrne needs to keep his hands up - Reynolds had a free shot at his head there.
Reynolds seems to have got his legs back now.

OByrne bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Reynolds takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
OByrne takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

and Reynolds counters with a crisp one two that drops OByrne! Reynolds thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves OByrne to his feet! OByrne is in big trouble!
OByrne is still on wobbly legs! Can Reynolds finish him?

OByrne cracks Reynolds with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Reynolds looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can OByrne finish him?
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Reynolds steps in with a hook that catches OByrne right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Reynolds follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! OByrne looks absolutely devastated.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Cole Reynolds!
Cole Reynolds tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
