Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Adye closes this distance looking for a takedown but Marino circles away.
Adye lands with a nice combination. Marino backs away looking to recover.

Marino shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Adye manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Marino scoring with some ground and pound.
Marino's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Adye is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Adye can't keep his opponent in guard - Marino advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Marino looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Adye looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Adye is breathing heavily.
Adye trying to control from the bottom.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Marino is taking a breather. Adye says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Adye throws the kick towards the body but Marino avoids it.

Adye gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Marino content to stall in guard here.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Marino wants to stand but Adye is controlling his posture from full guard.
Marino works over Adye with some ground and pound from guard.

Marino stands up from Adye's guard - Marino perhaps looking for a knockout.

Marino shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Adye is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Marino dives into side control.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Marino stands up.
Adye misses with a low kick.
Adye connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Marino momentarily.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Marino gets a takedown into half guard.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Steve Marino dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Marino throws a body punch but Adye moves out of range.
Adye is looking to clinch.
Adye throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Marino shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Adye's guard.
Marino is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Marino pushes down on Adye's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Marino keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Adye knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Marino on the ground.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Marino wants to stand but Adye has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Marino works his foot free and advances to mount.
Adye tries to hold on but Marino pushes him away.
Adye is trying to escape the mount.
Marino sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Let's hope that Marino has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Marino lands a heavy elbow.
Marino has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Marino controlling from mount.
Marino's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Adye in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.

Marino is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Marino landing strikes from the mount and Adye is in trouble!
Marino tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Marino looking to isolate an arm here. Adye doesn't see it coming and as Marino extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Marino!
