The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Harris throws a right and a left that both miss.
Jones with the counter takedown but Harris avoids it easily.
Harris slaps away a takedown attempt from Jones, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Harris on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Kordell Harris seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Harris misses with a combination
and Jones counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Harris thinking.
Harris swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Jones counters with a one-two to the body.

Jones tries to close the distance and clinch up but Harris swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Harris fails to land with a series of punches.

Jones clinches with his opponent.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Harris has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Jones tries to pull guard but Harris won't allow it.

Jones's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Harris jabs Jones to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Jones fails with a takedown attempt.
Kordell Harris has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Jones.
Harris looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Harris swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Jones.
Jones avoids a punch combination nicely.
Harris misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Jones gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Harris counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Harris misses with a series of wild punches.

Jones gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Kordell Harris is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Jones doesn't manage to clinch there - Harris circles away.

Harris drops Jones with a beautiful combination! Jones stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Harris is looking for the KO!

Jones is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Harris steps into range and unloads a brutal right left combo! Jones is out on his feet! Harris sets himself and nearly takes Jones's head off with a straight right, sending him crashing to the mat! Wow, that was nasty... but awesome! Wooo!
