Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bartek Nowak (ranked 25290 p4p, 0 weight class) and Duke Bravo (ranked 2742 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Bartek Nowak!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Duke Bravo!
The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Bart Greer and Santiago Holmes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bravo takes the fight into the clinch.

Nowak pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Nowak shoots in for a takedown but Bravo shows good takedown defense.
Bravo throws a leg kick which misses Nowak's front leg but catches the back leg as Nowak tries to avoid it.
Nowak throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Nowak is breathing heavily.

Bravo fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Nowak sprawls well initially but Bravo persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Bravo controlling the pace.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nowak tries to get to full guard but Bravo has control of the leg.

Bravo seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Bravo moves into range and clinches up with Nowak.

Bravo breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Nowak throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Bravo's waist but Bravo gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Nowak off to one side.

Bravo has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Nowak uses from the top position.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Nowak closes this distance looking for a takedown but Bravo circles away.

Bravo closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Nowak did well to prevent Bravo getting side control.
Nowak wants to improve his position but Bravo is controlling well.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Bravo looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Nowak with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Bravo takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Bravo wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Bravo throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Nowak blocks it with crossed arms.

Nowak could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Nowak is trying to drag Bravo to the mat but Bravo just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Nowak jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Bravo walks away with a smile on his face. Nowak gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Bravo scores with a hook.
Nowak looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Bravo takes the fight into the clinch.

Bravo breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Bravo clinches up with Nowak and pushes him back against the cage.
Duke Bravo seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.

Bravo has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Nowak regains guard immediately.
Nowak seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.
Nowak wants to stand but Bravo is controlling the position.

Bravo controls from within his opponent's guard.
Nowak keeping moving, preventing Bravo from controlling successfully.
Bravo is standing up over Nowak. Nowak looks to escape but Bravo dives into side control.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Bravo decides to stand back up. Bravo steps back and let's Nowak get back to his feet.
Nowak fails to land the takedown.

Bravo has managed to clinch.
Bravo utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body.

Bravo manages to break the clinch.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Nowak tries to score a power double leg takedown but Bravo sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Nowak somewhat.

Bravo rushes Nowak and presses him up against the cage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Duke Bravo showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Bravo really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Nowak. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Bravo is refusing to be controlled, as Nowak sits in half guard.

Nowak thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Bravo has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Nowak trying to mount his opponent but Bravo defends it.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Duke Bravo is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Bravo moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

Duke Bravo comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Bravo has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
