The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sloppy strikes from Machida. Those never looked like landing.
Schlaub is trying hard to land a takedown here. Machida sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

so Schlaub counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Machida is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Schlaub dives into side control.

Schlaub postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Schlaub cracks Machida with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Schlaub immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Machida is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Schlaub!
