Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between martin eastmann (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chad Blake (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Blake or perhaps it was just good defense by eastmann which made him look bad.
Left hook, right uppercut from Blake.

Blake moves into the clinch.
Blake stalling in the clinch but eastmann improves position.
eastmann is trying to break the clinch but Blake has him pressed against the cage.
eastmann misses with a body punch.

Blake drags the fight down to the ground.
eastmann wants to control from the top but Blake keeps moving.

Blake looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! eastmann has picked Blake up and slammed him! Blake can't keep hold of the triangle and eastmann manages to pass to side control!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Blake has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. eastmann is working away from the top position though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Blake drops back looking for a leg! eastmann is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and eastmann manages to kick Blake off! Blake jumps back into eastmann's guard.

eastmann had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Blake is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. eastmann Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Blake's back instead.

eastmann is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Blake knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Blake for a finish.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Blake staying busy and making it hard for eastmann to control.

You can see the frustration on Blake's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

eastmann is trying to stick to Blake's back but Blake is turning into eastmann. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in eastmann's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Blake.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Blake decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
eastmann takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

eastmann throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Blake looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

eastmann is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Blake has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Blake!

Blake stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. eastmann swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Blake closes the distance and clinches.
eastmann fails to pull the fight into his guard.
eastmann wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Blake goes for a takedown attempt but eastmann pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
eastmann gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

so Blake counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for martin eastmann. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Well Blake has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
