PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Gaylord Camara (ranked 2100 p4p, 121 weight class) and Slava Mne (ranked 2370 p4p, 136 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Slava Mne was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Slava Mne!
The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Sergei Dronov and Ivan Kurochkin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mne takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Mne takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Camara really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Mne misses with a takedown
and Camara counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Camara displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Mne.
Camara was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.

Mne shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Mne not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Mne prevents Camara from getting back to his feet.
Camara is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Captain Turturro`s Pirate Ship that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.

Camara wants to stand and escape. He's got his foot on Mne's hips, looking to push off. But Mne grabs a hold of the leg and drops back for an ankle lock! It's hard to tell if he's got it. Both fighters look composed - OH, not anymore they don't! Camara screams like a kid who's trapped his fingers in the car door and taps out! Yikes, that must have hurt - hopefully it's not snapped anything!
