The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davis feints and as Planet raises his hands in defense, Davis changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Davis thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Davis drops back looking for a leg! Planet is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Planet manages to kick Davis off! Davis jumps back into Planet's guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Planet is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Davis is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Planet had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Davis is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Planet Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Davis's back instead.
Planet has his arm under Davis's chin here. Game over son! Planet squeezes tightly and Davis is forced to tap out!
