Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Illidan Ladan (ranked 3092 p4p, 0 weight class) and Damian Brooks (ranked 4576 p4p, 0 weight class). Brooks is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: LALALA. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Brooks changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Ladan looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Brooks looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Ladan is avoiding damage well.
Ladan tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Brooks wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Brooks should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
An elbow from Brooks crashes against the mat.
Brooks trying to control the position but Ladan is working away.
Ladan knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Brooks on the ground.
Ladan is looking for a sweep.
Brooks throws a strike aimed at the side of Ladan's head but Ladan avoids it well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ladan is pushing Brooks's head away, looking to escape. Brooks manages to hold on to the position though.

Brooks has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Ladan takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

Brooks scores with a takedown into Ladan's guard.

Brooks drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Brooks jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Brooks thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Ladan pulls Brooks in close to prevent any damage.

Brooks stops Ladan from getting back to his feet.

Ladan stuns Brooks with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Illidan Ladan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
