Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Isaiah Sturridge (ranked 2223 p4p, 262 weight class) and Richie Fortune (ranked 1567 p4p, 194 weight class). Sturridge's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Gimmie The Loot - By: The Notorious BIG. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sturridge throws a low kick but it's checked well by Fortune.
Sturridge throws a front kick aimed at Fortune's knee but Fortune avoids it well.
Fortune is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Sturridge uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

It looks like Isaiah Sturridge has been cut.
Sturridge fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Fortune on the side of the head.

Fortune wants to clinch up but Sturridge keeps it at a distance.
Fortune has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Fortune's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Sturridge connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Fortune scrambles back to his feet.

Our sources have told us that Sturridge has been working on his elbows in the gym.
Fortune fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

Fortune's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Isaiah Sturridge seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Fortune scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Sturridge looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Fortune is fending him off so far but Sturridge persists. Nope, Fortune circles away and we're back to standing.

and Fortune counters with a nice right hand that sends Sturridge toppling to the canvas! Sturridge scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Fortune finish him?!

Fortune fakes the body blow, causing Sturridge to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! Sturridge goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!
