The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ross shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Green pinned against the cage. Green gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Green misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Ross tries to clinch but Green is having none of it.
Ross has his takedown stuffed
and Green connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Ross fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Ross blocks a jab.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Green throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Ross.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ross is looking for a sweep. Green is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Ross might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Green not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Green looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Ross avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Green.
Green is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Green throws a strike but Ross rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Ross drops back looking for a leg! Green is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Green manages to kick Ross off! Ross jumps back into Green's guard.
Green is looking to sweep but instead, Ross has passed into half guard.

Green is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Ross tries to pass to full mount but Green defends it.
Ross wants to lay and pray for a moment but Green keeps working.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ross is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Green is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
