Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Bruce Lee (ranked 5842 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Kevin (ranked 6138 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Bruce Lee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Steve Kevin!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Elvis Blanc and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lee lands with a nice body kick.
Lee throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Kevin misses with a head kick.
A head kick from Lee lands but Kevin takes it in his stride.
Lee blocks a head kick by Kevin.
Lee throws a big counter combination but Kevin scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Lee tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Kevin tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
A head kick misses from Kevin.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Kevin.
Lee appears to be looking for a big counter.
A slapping body kick lands there for Lee.
Lee throws a sloppy head kick

and Kevin decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Lee's guard.
Lee is looking to stand back up but Kevin counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Lee.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!


Kevin is working for a kimura but Lee is defending it quite comfortably.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kevin wants to lay and pray for a moment but Lee keeps working.

Kevin prevents Lee from improving his position.

Kevin content to control rather than advance.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Kevin is trying to control. Lee wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Lee knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kevin on the ground.

Kevin decides to stand and escape the position.
Left hook, right uppercut from Lee.

Lee tries to keep at a distance but Kevin has taken the fight into the clinch.
Lee is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Kevin changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Lee fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Bruce Lee has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Steve Kevin.
A telegraphed right hand from Kevin misses the target.
A nice inside leg kick there by Lee. That's going to slow Kevin down.
Kevin throws a head kick that misses.
Kevin looks winded!

Kevin closes the distance and clinches.

Kevin has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Lee is trying to keep an underhook but Kevin manages to get the takedown into half guard.

Kevin is working for a kimura but Lee is defending it quite comfortably.
Lee is looking for a sweep. Kevin is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Lee has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Kevin is working away from the top position though.

Kevin seems to be looking for submissions.

Lee wants to control but Kevin is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Kevin thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Lee's head.
Kevin is figuring out what he wants to do next.
It looks like Kevin might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Nice strikes from Kevin there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Steve Kevin dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Kevin takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Steve Kevin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lee stuffs the takedown.
Kevin lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Kevin throws a lazy head kick
and Lee counters with a left and a right that stings Kevin.
Lee doesn't manage to clinch there - Kevin circles away.
Kevin changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Lee lands a nice looking body kick.
A punch combination from Lee misses.
Kevin stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Lee.

Lee tries to keep at a distance but Kevin has taken the fight into the clinch.
Kevin is breathing heavily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Lee tries to break free but Kevin pushes him back against the cage.
Lee wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Kevin has him pressed against the cage.

Lee gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Kevin.
Kevin misses with a hook from the clinch.
Lee is trying to break free.
Kevin goes for a takedown in the clinch but Lee prevents it.
Bruce Lee has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Steve Kevin.
Kevin misses with a knee strike.

Kevin manages to break the clinch.
Lee moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Lee lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Lee throws a push kick but Kevin slaps the foot to one side.
Kevin feints the counter takedown.

Lee throws a nice inside leg kick.

Kevin has closed the distance and engaged Lee in a clinch.
Lee wants to break free but Kevin has control.
Lee tries to circle away but Kevin has him pinned against the cage.
Kevin fails to pull guard.
Lee has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Lee is working for takedown but Kevin is calmly controlling the position for now.
Kevin lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
Kevin stalling.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kevin has Lee pressed against the cage.
The crowd are getting on Kevin's back here. They're not happy about his lack of aggression in the clinch.
A frustrated look appears on Lee's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Kevin is pushing Lee up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Kevin has been looking to improve his clinch game in recent weeks. Lee seems to have the measure of him in the clinch so far, so let's see if Kevin can turn it around.
Kevin has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Lee is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Lee wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Lee has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Kevin jumps guard but Lee turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Lee is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Bruce Lee is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Kevin takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Lee fails with a takedown attempt.

Lee misses with a series of wild punches.
Lee plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Lee tries to bum rush Kevin with a series of wild strikes but Kevin uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Lee throws a sloppy head kick and Kevin moves out of range easily.
Good leg kick by Lee there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Lee misses with a double jab.
Kevin will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Kevin takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Nice sprawl there from Lee as Kevin shoots in.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!


Lee looks to land a combination but Kevin avoids it well.
Lee takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Kevin fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Lee avoids it really well and circles away.
Lee misses with a jab, cross combination.
Kevin lands a head kick. Lee smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Lee circles away from the clinch attempt
and Lee counters with a series of strikes. Kevin will be more careful next time no doubt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kevin moves into the clinch successfully.
Kevin takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Lee has had enough of the clinch but Kevin keeps him there for the moment.

Kevin breaks the clinch.
Lee slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Lee throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
A head kick misses from Lee.
Lee pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Kevin back to the cage. Lee follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Lee dodges the punch combination from Kevin.
A head kick misses from Kevin.
Lee throws a left and a right that both miss

and Kevin counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Kevin landing with the ground and pound.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kevin accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Kevin is stalling in the full guard.
Lee keeping moving, preventing Kevin from controlling successfully.

Kevin throws a big elbow that misses.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kevin missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Kevin content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Kevin scoring with punches to the head and body.
Kevin trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Kevin pushes Lee up against the cage in a clinch.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Lee gets underhooks to prevent Kevin's takedown attempt.
Lee can't break the clinch.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Kevin is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Lee is defending well.
Bruce Lee has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Steve Kevin.
Lee wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Kevin jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Lee walks away with a smile on his face. Kevin gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Lee fakes the leg kick and cracks Kevin in the body.
Lee misses with a head kick.
Kevin throws a head kick that misses.
Lee connects with an inside leg kick.
Lee scores with a one two! Kevin had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Lee rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Kevin moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Lee shoots in looking for a takedown. Kevin tries to sprawl out of it but Lee keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kevin manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A combination from Lee does no damage.
Sloppy strikes from Kevin. Those never looked like landing.
As Kevin looks to move away, Lee throws a big counter combo but Kevin just gets out of the way.

Kevin clinches up with Lee and pushes him back against the cage.

Kevin pulls Lee into guard.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Lee wants to control from the top but Kevin keeps moving.
Kevin is trying to keep Lee in close.
Kevin looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Bruce Lee.
I think Lee has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
