The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Shelby lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Burrows has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Burrows and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Shelby misses with a two punch combination.
Burrows tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Shelby lands a jab to Burrows's midsection.
A combination from Shelby does no damage.
Shelby throws a right and a left that Burrows avoids nicely.
Shelby misses with a head kick.
No joy there for Shelby , who threw a few shots but didn't land.
A bone on bone clash there as Shelby blocks the leg kick.
Shelby lands with an overhand left.
Shelby misses with a head kick.
Burrows throws a low kick but it's checked well by Shelby .
Shelby swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Burrows avoids the head kick by Shelby .
Clive Burrows seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Burrows closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Burrows dives in for a single leg takedown but Shelby sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Shelby can do anything to dispel that myth.

Burrows in side control here. He's dropped a big elbow there and Shelby looks hurt! Oh, he is hurt! Burrows turns on the heat and pounds him out for a TKO victory! Good killer instinct there!
