Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Teshima Shigochiyo (ranked 4234 p4p, 346 weight class) and Jakub Bednarek (ranked 5365 p4p, 402 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Teshima Shigochiyo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jakub Bednarek!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Tiny Johnson and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bednarek fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Shigochiyo appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Bednarek closes the distance but Shigochiyo moves to the side
and Shigochiyo counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Bednarek is trying to escape back to his feet but Shigochiyo uses the scramble to pass into side control.
Shigochiyo has an Americana. Bednarek didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Shigochiyo is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Shigochiyo hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Teshima Shigochiyo!
Our winner, Teshima Shigochiyo, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
