Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jack Anderson !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Juan Carlos Stevenson!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Alyssa Summers and Steve Montenegro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stevenson misses with a double jab

and Anderson counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Anderson .
Stevenson is trying to break free.

Anderson tightens his grip and picks Stevenson up, before dumping him to the ground. Stevenson manages to land in guard.
Stevenson keeping full guard, as Anderson tries to pass.
Anderson controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Anderson trying to control the position from guard on top but Stevenson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Stevenson is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Anderson is controlling him.
Anderson has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Stevenson manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A frustrated look appears on Stevenson's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Stevenson wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Anderson working some nice short punches in the clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Anderson manages to break the clinch.
Anderson throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Stevenson lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Stevenson lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Stevenson has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Anderson gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Anderson is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Stevenson gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Anderson lands an elbow that stopped Stevenson in his tracks for a moment.

Anderson pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Oooooh!!! Stevenson has knocked Anderson down with a huge combo! Stevenson steps away and waves a wobbly Anderson back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!


Anderson is rocked!


It looks like Jack Anderson has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Stevenson dances in with a quick combination. Anderson is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Stevenson snaps Anderson 's head back. Anderson stumbles backwards against the cage. Stevenson steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Anderson 's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Anderson just didn't come prepared.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Juan Carlos Stevenson!
