Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Marco Solis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bayden Wood!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Aleksandr Martynov and Aleksei Zolotukhin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wood tests Solis's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Wood misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Solis shoots in and gets a takedown into Wood's guard.
Wood being controlled here, momentarily.

Solis avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Solis is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Solis working some strikes from top position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Solis makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Solis trying to control the position from guard on top but Wood is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Solis lands a couple of digs.

Wood is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Solis lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Solis landing some decent shots from guard.

Wood looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Wood keeping moving, preventing Solis from controlling successfully.
Solis distracts Wood with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Solis wants to control from the top but Wood keeps moving.
Solis has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Solis scores with a decent looking elbow strike.

Wood is working an open guard so Solis takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Solis dodges the punch combination from Wood.
Solis takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Wood has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Wood fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Solis looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Solis slips a jab from Wood.
Wood throws a hook but Solis blocks it.
Wood with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Wood looks to throw the jab but Solis is out of range.
Solis tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Wood was well out of range. Poor timing from Solis.
Solis is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Wood throws a right hand that misses

and Solis counters with a single leg into guard. Wood didn't expect that.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Wood wants to improve his position but instead Solis has moved into half guard.
Solis seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Wood does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Wood trying to control but Solis postures up.
Wood is trying to control but Solis manages to pass to mount!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Wood tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Solis fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Solis can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Wood is looking to escape.
Wood tries to lock up and control but Solis gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Wood keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Solis lands a nice shot to the head.

Solis has control of Wood's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Wood regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Solis lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Solis lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Solis lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Wood hang on?
Solis controlling the position easily from mount.
Wood really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

Solis looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Wood tries to lock up and control but Solis gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Wood working to try and regain half guard.
Solis is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Solis looking to control and managing it successfully.
Wood is wriggling around trying to escape.
Wood reaches up to try and control the position but Solis seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Wood rolls and tries to escape and now Solis has his back!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Marco Solis dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Wood throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Solis throws a big shot that misses.
Bayden Wood seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Wood lands a left and a right that send Solis crashing to the mat, dazed. Wood thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!


Solis is rocked!

Wood fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Solis, pushing him back against the cage.
Oh Solis is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Wood is working the Thai clinch up against the cage. He yanks Solis's head to one side and delivers a picture perfect knee, right on the button! Boom! Down goes Solis! He's out! He's out! The fight is over, just like that!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:20 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Knee). Bayden Wood!
