The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ward closes this distance looking for a takedown but Nycklar circles away.

Nycklar clinches.

Nycklar is trying to trip Ward. He has hold of a leg but Ward is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Nycklar persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Ward is looking for a triangle here but Nycklar uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

Ward wants to sweep but no luck.

Ward is looking for a triangle but Nycklar pushes his legs off easily.
