Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ivan Lyubenov (ranked 1021 p4p, 127 weight class) and Rick Ambe (ranked 1592 p4p, 192 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Ivan Lyubenov has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Ivan Lyubenov seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Rick Ambe!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, David Hoff and Dirk Anderson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ambe has Lyubenov up against the cage in a clinch.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
Ambe will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Lyubenov up against the cage.
Lyubenov softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
Ambe misses with a hook from the clinch.
Lyubenov misses with a body punch.
Lyubenov goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Lyubenov can't find room to land a body shot as Ambe controls the action.

Lyubenov is fighting off a takedown attempt but Ambe is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Lyubenov to the mat. Lyubenov regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ambe seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Lyubenov on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Lyubenov tries to get out of the position.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Ambe's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Ambe is stalling in the full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Lyubenov looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Ambe won't allow Lyubenov to sweep him here.

Ambe stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lyubenov swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Lyubenov can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Ambe controls the pace.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Lyubenov definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Ambe.

Ambe misses with a telegraphed body shot

and Lyubenov counters with a crisp right hand that drops Ambe! Lyubenov lets Ambe back up to his feet, looking for a finish!

Ambe is rocked!
Rick Ambe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lyubenov shakes his hands by his side, trying to relax. Ambe takes his eyes off the ball for a moment - Lyubenov sees the opportunity and cracks him with a massive hook! Ambe bends double and collapses on top of himself - he's out! The crowd are going absolutely nuts! Wow, what a knockout!

A less than humble Ivan Lyubenov misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
