Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sulejman Bektic (ranked 24799 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hugo Kleins (ranked 4715 p4p, 0 weight class). Hugo Kleins acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Sulejman Bektic!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Hugo Kleins!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bektic clinches up against the cage.
Kleins misses with a punch to the body.
Bektic gets through Kleins's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Bektic is trying to maintain a safe position but Kleins gets an underhook and turns Bektic into the cage.
Kleins tries for a takedown. No joy.
Bektic changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Kleins fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Bektic thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Kleins if he has to take too many more of those.

Bektic rushes Kleins and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Kleins gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Bektic wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Kleins manages to pass to side control.

Bektic regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Kleins.
Kleins engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Kleins wants to pass the guard but Bektic is keeping the position.
Bektic not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Bektic is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Kleins is controlling him.
Kleins postures up.
Kleins wants to control from the top but Bektic keeps moving.
Bektic looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Kleins wanted to stand there but Bektic had control of the position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Bektic doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Kleins counters with a nice uppercut.
Bektic defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Kleins.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Bektic throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Kleins was covering up waiting for the punch and Bektic finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Kleins has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Bektic got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kleins has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Bektic has managed to get both his arms back between Kleins's legs - danger averted.
Bektic wants to control from the top but Kleins keeps moving.
Kleins is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Kleins stands up out of the half guard.
Kleins throws a right and a left that both miss.
Bektic throws a quick counter head kick but Kleins was just out of range.

Kleins gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Bektic breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Horrible takedown attempt by Kleins or perhaps it was just good defense by Bektic, which made it look bad.
Sulejman Bektic has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hugo Kleins.
Bektic lets loose with a powerful body kick. Kleins will feel that in the morning.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Kleins misses with a takedown attempt - Bektic sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Sulejman Bektic will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Kleins tries to get back to half guard but can't.
You can see the frustration on Kleins's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
A control attempt from Kleins but he's now mounted!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bektic avoids the attempt from Kleins to control.

Kleins is trying desperately to improve position.
Bektic lands a big shot there that rocks Kleins but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Bektic prevents Kleins from getting the reversal.

Kleins bucks up and throws Bektic to the side - he's got back to his feet. Great escape!

Kleins pulls guard successfully.
Bektic prevents Kleins from getting back to his feet.
Bektic trying to control the position from guard on top but Kleins is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Bektic wants to stand but Kleins is controlling his posture from full guard.
Kleins tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Kleins is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Kleins looking to hit a scissor sweep but Bektic is one step ahead there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Kleins trying to keep a closed guard but Bektic is proving a slippery customer.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Sulejman Bektic is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Bektic tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Kleins manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Bektic shoots for a takedown but Kleins saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
A low kick from Bektic misses

and Kleins counters with a shoot takedown. Bektic fights it but they end up in guard.
Kleins postures up and lands a big shot to Bektic's brow.

Kleins trying to stand up but can't free himself from Bektic's guard.
Bektic is trying to keep Kleins in close.
Bektic keeping moving, preventing Kleins from controlling successfully.
Bektic can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Kleins controls the pace.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Kleins won't allow Bektic to sweep him here.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hugo Kleins showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kleins seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Kleins is looking to sweep but instead, Bektic has passed into half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Bektic lands a nice short elbow.
Kleins is refusing to be controlled, as Bektic sits in half guard.

Bektic stops Kleins from getting back to his feet.
Bektic passes the guard and advances to mount!
Kleins wants to control but Bektic is having none of it.
Kleins might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Bektic haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Kleins is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Bektic is aware though and is defending well.
Kleins takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Kleins will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Kleins throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Bektic escapes and throws Kleins's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Kleins is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Bektic sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Kleins is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Bektic wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kleins keeps working.
Kleins is looking to reverse the position.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Bektic wants to take a breather but Kleins manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Bektic.
Bektic works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Kleins is looking to improve his position.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Sulejman Bektic.
I think Bektic has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
