The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mein Armbach shoots in looking for a takedown but Smith manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Mein Armbach's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Smith closes the distance and clinches.
Smith pulls guard effortlessly.
Mein Armbach sitting in guard here, content to control.
Mein Armbach thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Smith on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Smith tries to get out of the position.
Mein Armbach slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Smith looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Smith working a defensive guard but Mein Armbach manages to pass into side control anyway.

Mein Armbach is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Smith is trying to escape and Mein Armbach transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Smith is forced to tap! Nice work there by Mein Armbach! Very nice indeed!

A relieved looking Bender Mein Armbach thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
